Good web quality, much smaller.
Downsizes only; SVG is drawn at this size (default 1024).
E.g. 500 or 2000 for a “max 2 MB” form. Quality, then pixel size, is lowered until it fits.
Why convert PNG to JPG?
PNG photos and screenshots are heavy. Email limits, upload caps and job portals often want JPG under a few megabytes.
What to expect
- Transparent pixels are filled with your chosen background colour.
- Text and sharp UI edges can show faint ringing in JPG; quality 90+ keeps them crisp, or use WebP.
- For photographs saved as PNG, JPG at quality 85 is often 80–90% smaller.
How to convert PNG to JPG
- Tap Choose images or drag your PNG files onto the light box (up to 100).
- JPG is already selected. Adjust quality or the longest edge if you need to.
- Press Convert to JPG, then save files one by one or as one ZIP.

The two formats
PNG: Portable Network Graphics (ISO/IEC 15948)
Lossless, supports full transparency. Ideal for screenshots, logos and graphics with flat colour; heavy for photos.
JPG: JPEG (ISO/IEC 10918-1)
The universal photo format. Lossy compression in 8×8 pixel blocks, no transparency, opens absolutely everywhere.
PNG to JPG: questions
Is JPG smaller than PNG?
For photos, dramatically. For flat graphics with few colours, PNG can actually be smaller and sharper.
What happens to a transparent background?
JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are painted with the background colour you pick (white by default).
Does it change the image dimensions?
Only if you set a maximum size. Otherwise the JPG has the same pixel dimensions.
